    Copper thieves detained in PE

    Copper cable thieves have been busted by the Port Elizabeth K9 Unit members.

    According to the police statement, on September 11, two men were spotted by the K9 Unit members. When the duo saw the police officers, one of the suspects tried to walk away while the second was still removing the wires.

    During the search, the officers found approximately 25 metres of copper wire, three trip strip switches, cutting implements, a knife, a screwdriver, and a torch.

    The suspects are expected to make their appearance in court.
