Seamless service delivery is an absolute for fleet management and Red Alert has revolutionized the game by delivering a first for Africa through a Dynamic Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) system.

What is ETA?

Estimated time of arrival is actually a lot more complicated than it seems, and it is often used incorrectly. Businesses and consumers rely on arrival and delivery estimates for planning, scheduling, and much more, but sometimes it feels like nobody is speaking the same language.

In the logistics industry, ETA (estimated time of arrival) indicates when a vehicle, cargo ship, or other modes of transportation will arrive at its final destination. Arrival estimates are used to give customers an approximation of when the vehicle carrying their goods will arrive at their location.

  • Dynamic Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)

This intelligent system updates the estimated time of delivery for the rest of the trip once the first delivery is completed. Calculations are based on live traffic information and set parameters derived from load information i.e. parcels/weight/complexity.

Live tracking, or real-time tracking, is a feature that lets you (and your customers) see where a delivery driver is along their route.

Live GPS tracking takes the guesswork out of ETAs for dispatchers and fleet managers. Real-time visibility doesn’t guarantee your drivers won’t run into traffic or get a flat tire while they’re en route, but it does ensure that if anything goes wrong, dispatchers will know immediately. Live tracking helps dispatchers troubleshoot unavoidable delays and keep on-time delivery rates as high as possible.

  • E-POD (Electronic Purchase Order Document)

This is the document the customer signs that need to be retained as proof of but also needs to be used to raise the invoice as soon as possible. Our system enables the document to be sent in near real-time and available online for the admin and finance department and customer service department to review and reference, systems integrations can also be done.

  • Sign on Glass – A feature linked to the Electronic Purchase Order Documentation and other events or checks that the driver needs to complete. The Sign on Glass is on the tablet device with the relevant document for proof of delivery information stored electronically.

Red Alert also provides Bureau Services, Driver Behaviour Scoring, and CCTV for Fleet Monitoring so give our Guarding Intelligence Centre a call on C 064 870 7180  T 012 329 2732.
