How to protect yourself from car hijacking

Crime-Prevention-Guarding-Security-Solution
Take action to protect yourself from hijacking.
You are most vulnerable:

  • at schools when dropping off or picking up children,
  • at traffic signs or intersections,
  • when you are place and time predictable or have a set routine,
  • and in the driveways of residential areas, especially in areas with accessible escape routes.

Protect yourself by being alert.
Avoid distractions like doing your make up or checking your mobile phone.
Check your mirrors and area around your vehicle constantly while at a stop.
Always keep enough distance between you and other vehicles so that you can get away quickly and avoid being trapped.
Trust your gut feelings and stay off your phone!
This safety tip is brought to you by Red Alert because your safety is our concern.
